Overview

The Field Recruiter, based in Edmonton and reporting to The Field Recruitment Manager, will play a vital role in the sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and hiring of highly skilled individuals for hourly positions contributing to the success of our organization by building a talented and engaging workforce. This position encompasses full cycle recruitment practices to ensure best possible fit for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Source and attract candidates through various channels including research, cold calling, job boards, social and professional networking.
  • Screen resumes and perform interviews to assess candidate qualifications.
  • Evaluate candidates during interview based on job requirements, decisively make hiring decisions, and extend job offers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Understand position requirements, including site/location information, equipment and position specifics and apply that knowledge to candidate review.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and requirements.
  • Manage candidate status using internal applicant tracking systems documenting all communications.
  • Work closely with assigned Recruitment Coordinator(s) to ensure candidates are progressing through onboarding requirements.
  • Regularly and proactively communicate recruitment progress with internal stakeholders.
  • Understand and believe in Morgan values and Pillars of Excellence, consistently demonstrating alignment through everyday actions and able to ascertain best fit for the company based on candidates own values and beliefs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a fully cycle recruitment environment. RPR designation would be an asset.
  • Experience in a high-volume construction, heavy civil or similar would be preferred.
