Reporting to the Director, HSE, the HSE Administrator role is essential in tracking incident reporting, supporting WCB documentation processes, assisting with internal safety metrics, and contributing to the successful delivery of safety initiatives across our worksites.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall administrative support to the Corporate HSE department.
  • Respond to general safety inquires and direct requests as needed.
  • Maintenance of incident files and corrective action tracking.
  • Perform data entry of incident details into internal tracking systems to support reporting and trend analysis.
  • Collection, preparation, and compilation of corporate statistics.
  • Assist with creation of WCB reporting and ongoing claim support.
  • Send out meeting invitations, take minutes, distribution of minutes.
  • First line of support for ISN, Complyworks, and Avetta.
  • Receive subcontractor pre-screen requests and initial collection of HSE documentation.
  • Support the ordering, distribution, and chargebacks of PPE.
  • Support the development of infographics using Canva.
  • Assist with creation and editing of HSE documents in both Word and Excel formats.
  • Assist with revising and developing internal training programs
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Knowledge of OH&S legislation and safety program requirements.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Results oriented with the ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated skills in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with internal/external individuals.
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, data analysis, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, and prioritize tasks.

Qualifications

  • Required: High School Diploma with 2 years of administrative experience.  
  • NHSA (National Health and Safety Administrator) designation is considered an asset, or related business courses.
  • Experience in supporting disability management and workers compensation claims and asset
