The HR Administrator reports to the HR Business Partner and will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to our human resources team. The ideal candidate is someone who can swiftly react and adapt to changes in our fast-paced environment. Position Details:
- In-Office based position
- Monday – Friday 8am-5pm, with an hour for lunch

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the corporate onboarding process, including the distribution of necessary forms, communication of expectations, and orientation of new hires to office procedures and culture.
- Assist with corporate recruitment by conducting reference checks, prescreening candidates, and participating in interviews.
- Review, provide feedback on, and approve employee documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide guidance and peer-to-peer coaching to recruitment coordinators to support skill development and alignment with best practices.
- Manage employee leaves of absence from initiation to return, working collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth transitions.
- Administer field employee benefits, including enrollment, updates, and terminations; act as the primary liaison between employees and benefit providers.
- Maintain and regularly update employee records and new hire documents to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage HR inboxes and serve as the first point of contact for all employee inquiries, escalating complex concerns to the appropriate HR Business Partners.
- Collaborate with site leadership to address and resolve employee-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Process employee lifecycle documentation, including terminations and shortage of work notices.
- Develop and implement employee wellness and engagement programs, such as perks and recognition initiatives.
- Conduct exit interviews, and report findings to inform retention and engagement strategies.
- Upload and organize HR documents and forms within Bistrainer and ICIMS.
- Contribute to interdepartmental projects and initiatives, offering HR insights and support.
- Generate HR-related reports and extract data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Present on HR topics and facilitate training sessions to support organizational learning and compliance.
- Perform audits and inquiries in internal databases to ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR data.
- Manage various employee programs, including incentives and recognition-based initiatives.
- Compile and provide data for client-required checks and compliance reporting.
Experience / Qualification Requirements:
- Certificate or diploma in Human Resources and/or Administration.
- 2 + years of experience in Human Resources,
- 5 + years of administrative experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong computer and technical skills.
- Experience with HRIS or data entry systems considered an asset.
- Familiarity with common certifications and requirements in the Construction/Trades industry is an asset.
